Each person, once a year, celebrates getting a year older. For me, that day is today. Taking that into consideration, I can't help but reflect on how I've changed in the past year. Sure, I'm now a year older, but what really happened in that year?
Let's see. 18...I voted, I smoked, I bought porn. No really, I bought porn. I fell in love. I fell out of love. I fell in love again with someone more deserving. I cried and I laughed. I made decisions that will probably change my life. I changed my mind, I changed jobs. I doubted myself and others. I remembered to not take things so seriously....sometimes. I graduated high school and started college. I changed colleges before school started. I took a risk and grew up a little more. I made friends, I lost a few. I tried new things and fell in love with old hobbies again. I learned a lot about life and several things about death. Most of all, I learned that no matter how many mistakes I make, no matter how much I screw things up, it's always fixable in the end.
Basically, I grew up. A little bit at least. ;-)
